Stacker has compiled a list of 30 towns with the most high value homes in Pennsylvania using data from Zillow.
Some towns feature higher home prices tags than other. Location, home size, age, and condition of the property all contribute to a home’s value.
Here in Delaware County, three communities stood out for homes with higher values.
Coming in 13th, Garnet Valley homeowners have seen their properties increase 49.9 percent in value over five years, 4.8 percent in the last year alone. A typical Garnet Valley home goes for $651,311.
Glen Mills placed halfway up on the list of 30, coming in at 15th. It saw a 5-year increase in home prices of 46.8 percent, with a 4.9 percent increase in the last year. A typical Glen Mills home goes for $649,373.
Media Borough placed 23rd on the list. It saw a 5-year increase in home prices of 41.9 percent, with an increase in the last year of 3 percent.
A typical home in Media goes for $582,654.
The typical home value in the United States was $356,776 in January, 2.6 percent higher than the year before.
