3 Delaware County Communities Make Top 30 List for Most Expensive Homes

Three Delaware County communities made an expensive homes list for the top 30 communities in Pennsylvania with the most expensive homes.

A typical home in the United States was valued at about $350,091 in September. That’s 2.1 percent higher than the year before.

Here in Delaware County, three communities made a top 30 list of Pennsylvania communities with the most expensive homes, with values well above the national average.

A home’s value is based on a number of factors, including location, size, age, and condition of the property. 

Stacker compiled the top 30 list using data from Zillow. Cities are ranked by the Zillow Home Values Index for all homes as of September 2023.

Media came in 22nd on the list.  A typical home was valued at $560,778 with a 5.8 percent increase in price in one year and a 43.3 percent increase in price over five years.

Glen Mills placed 13th most expensive homes in Pennsylvania on the top 30 list. It had a typical home value of $627,798 with a 7.3 percent increase in price over one year and a 42.2 percent change over five years. 

Garnet Valley was the 12th most expensive.  A typical home there is valued at $629,927 with a one-year price rise of 7.7 percent. Prices over five years rose 43.7 percent.
