5 Delaware County Towns Host PA’s Highest-Valued Homes

Five Delaware County towns made a list of 30 communities with the most highest-valued homes in Pennsylvania, reports Stacker.

Stacker used data from Zillow for its list, based on the Zillow Home Values Index as of September 2022.   

The state’s average home value was $268,984.

Coming in at No. 30 was Boomall. A typical home there is worth $496,214. Values jumped 41.9 percent in five years, and 8.1 percent in one year.

Coming in 18th was Media Borough.  A typical home there is worth at $544,006. Values jumped 45.9 percent over five years, 10.1 percent in one year.

Garnet Valley was 10th, with a typical home worth of $611.031. Values increased 40 percent over five years and 11.6 percent in one year’s time.

Glen Mills was the 8th most expensive community for home value. A typical home there is valued at $622,984. Values increased 39.5 percent over five years, rising 9.1 percent over one year.

Chester Springs was one step up from Glen Mills, making seventh on the list. Its typical home value was $661,000. Values increased 39.5 percent in five years, and 12.9 percent in one year.
