Country-style restaurant chain Cracker Barrel is expecting to create more than 175 jobs when it finishes construction on its new location in Ridley Park, writes Kenneth Hilario for Philadelphia Business Journal.

The popular chain had its eye on Ridley Park for years, and finally signed the lease for its new location in 2015. However, unexpected setbacks delayed the start of construction.

However, Cracker Barrel has now broken ground for its restaurant at 125 S. Stewart Avenue, near I-95. This move correlates with Cracker Barrel’s model of keeping its stores near major highways.

The restaurant will seat 180 people and is expected to open sometime in November. To help run the new location, Cracker Barrel plans to hire at least 175 full- and part-time employees. This process is expected to start sometime in October. Anyone interested in a position can apply on the company’s website.

“This is for all skill positions for both the restaurant and retail side, including servers, host and hostess, retail sales, busser and dishwasher, cook, and more,” said Breeanna Straessle, Cracker Barrel’s manager of corporate communications.
