With 10 acquisitions in three years, Radnor-based VWR apparently needed space to put all of its new business, and this week’s buyout of EPL Archives provides 190,000 square feet for biostorage, according to a Philadelphia Business Journal report by John George.

VWR has rapidly grown its portfolio of research lab products to more than 1.2 million, serving a quarter of a million customers across two continents.

“EPL Archives is a well-known and trusted partner to the majority of the world’s largest pharmaceutical customers, including many existing VWR customers,” said President and CEO Manuel Brocke-Benz.

VWR intends to integrate EPL Archives into its VWRCatalyst lab streamlining service in order to offer “compliant storage of research, manufacturing, and clinical trial materials,” Brocke-Benz said.
