Chester’s Fisher Tank Company is celebrating October as National Employee Ownership Month with special activities at all of its locations, according to a report in the Daily Times.

The Delco company, which has been serving the region for nearly seven decades, is 100 percent owned by its employees through its Employee Stock Ownership Plan or ESOP. There are currently around 7,000 ESOP companies nationwide, with close to 11 million employees.

Fisher Tank – which has locations in Chester, Leesville, S.C., and Cropwell, Ala. – operates across a variety of industries, including engineering, fabrication, construction, maintenance, and repair services for field-erected, welded-steel storage tanks.

The celebratory events throughout October include an ESOP breakfast with special appearances from Fisher retirees and a Pumpkin Challenge carving contest, as well as special swag for members.

It is also the perfect opportunity to celebrate the organization’s success and recognize the value of both its employee owners and employee ownership.
