Five Delaware County communities made a top 25 list compiled by Stacker of the best places to live in the Philadelphia area.

Schools in the five communities were A+ or A. Outdoor activities also received an A.
From lowest to highest are:
Radnor Township, population 33,260, came in at No. 20, with a median home value of $762,400, median rent of $1,795, C+ weather, and a C grade for cost of living.
Haverford Township, population 50,375, ranked at No. 18, with a median home value of $413,000, median rent of $1,584, B- weather, and a C+ grade for cost of living.
Nether Providence Township, population 14,432, came in at No. 9, with a median home value of $400,300, median rent of $1,663, a B for weather, and a C+ for cost of living.
Rose Valley, population 1,187, ranked No. 6, with a median home value of $679,700, median rent of $3,250, a B for weather and cost of living.
Finally, Swarthmore, population 6,507, came in at No. 4, with a median home value of $504,900, median rent of $1,376, B- weather, and a C+ cost of living.
