3 Delaware County Towns Among the Friendliest in Pennsylvania

3 Delaware County towns were named among the friendliest in Pennsylvania.

If you’re in need of some friendly surroundings you won’t have to travel far in Delaware County.

Apparently, three communities here have been named among the 16 friendliest towns in Pennsylvania by Nextdoor.com, writes Joe for 94.5 PST.

The rankings are based on input from Next door.com members across the state who were asked to rate the friendliness in their town.

Coming in at No. 7 is Swarthmore Borough, home of course to Swarthmore College.  The sense of community stood out the most in the Nextdoor reviews for the borough’s 6,000+ residents.

Yeadon Borough and its population of 11,000 people received a solid No. 3 ranking in the state.  Nextdoor neighbors appreciated the area’s convenience to nearby cities, no doubt referring to Philadelphia.

In fact, three of the 16 friendliest places to live in Pennsylvania are coincidentally all relatively close to Philadelphia.

Proudly coming in as the No. 1 friendliest town in Pennsylvania was Wallingford.

Nextdoor gave it a “100” grade on friendliness. Wallingford was also named in 2017 by Money magazine as the ninth best place to live in the United States.

Nextdoor members seemed to like the cleanliness of the town and its strong sense of community.

See who else made the list of friendliest towns at 94.6 PST.
