3 Delaware County Towns Host 30 Most Expensive Homes in PA Right Now

Three Delaware County properties made a Pennsylvania list of the 30 communities with the most expensive homes.

Stacker has a list of the top 30 Pennsylvania communities with the most expensive homes as of February 2024, and three particular Delaware County communities continue to make the rankings, reports msn.com.

Home prices are up throughout the U.S., but some towns have more expensive homes than others overall. Location, size, age, and condition contribute to home value.

Here in Delaware County, the most expensive homes on the Stacker list are found in Media (22nd), Glen Mills (15th), and Garnet Valley (12th), according to Zillow.

Media has grown in popularity over the years as a desirable place to live.  As such, a typical home there is valued at $555,799. Prices there have increased 7.4 percent in a year’s time and have increased 43.6 percent over five years.

Glen Mills has a typical home value of $622,544. The western Delaware County community has seen prices increase 85 percent in the past year, with a 43.8 percent increase in the past five years.

Garnet Valley has a typical home value of $626,243. Its home prices have risen 8.8 percent in a year and 45.5 percent over a five-year period.
