Dominic Peyreferry, a.k.a. Drizzy P., grew up in Broomall and gives credit to his mother for instilling in him his love of music.

It was her massive CD collection and her affinity for music that sparked his musical interests, writes Seth Barmash for hiphopsince1987.com.

Fans know Dominic as “Drizzy P”, a 20-year-old American pop artist who has made the leap to the big time after befriending Mack Maine, president and CEO of Young Money Records, and rapper Lil Wayne.

Both took a liking to the young artist and signed him up, making him the newest top artist on the Young Money roster.

You could say that Drizzy P’s musical career launched in his freshman year of high school after his close friend Ross got some music equipment as a Christmas gift.

After spending nights in Ross’ basement making music, he took a chance his senior year and reached out in 2020 to David “Geedy” Appolon who would later become his manager and business partner.

They have created over 500 records, including 30 with Lil Wayne.

Drizzy P just released a new single “All That I Need” on Dec. 6
