Influential Rap Snacks CEO James Lindsay Comes From Cheyney University

James Lindsay is a Cheyney University graduate who has gone on to become a highly successful Miami-based entrepreneur.

Lindsay is the founder & CEO of Rap Snacks, a brand of hip-hop-geared snack products, reports rapsnacks.net.

Rap Snacks, celebrating its 25th anniversary, has partnered with well-known hip-hop artists who are featured on the brand, including Cardi B, Migos, Lil Boosie, Rick Ross, Master P, and Romeo.  

Lindsay started out with a BS degree in Marketing from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, located in Delaware County. 

He worked for Johnson Products, Warner-Lambert, and in the packaged food industry, using his marketing experience to start Rap Snacks, Inc., in 1994.

He grew the company into a $5 million business with the sale of his 25-cent bags of chips.

In 2001, Lindsay purchased the “Mr. G” snack foods brand, a locally-owned Philadelphia brand known for its hot and barbeque cheddar-flavored chips.

In 2007, he launched Soulful Foods, Inc. and has successfully connected artists like Meek Mill with corporate America, including companies such as PUMA, Monster Energy Drink and Ciroc.

Since 2017, Lindsay has been expanding his product line into noodles, and breakfast cereals through the company P&J Foods and most recently launched a 5-flavored lemonade line.
