James and Allison met during a West Wildwood summer visit with friends, writes Kellie Patrick Gates for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Allison, from East Lansdowne and Havertown; and James, also from East Lansdowne, hit it off that weekend.

“He’s really cute, really nice, and really funny,” Allison thought to herself. James thought the same about her.

They dated throughout the summer and quickly became exclusive.

In 2017, they moved in together to their Morton apartment with a mixed-breed puppy named Theo.

The couple complements each other well.  Both are caring individuals with a fondness for animals, which explains Theo.

 She’s a little more outgoing. He’s a bit mellow.

“She is awesome with kids,” James said.

James is great with his nieces and nephews, “and that means a lot to me,” Allison said.

He proposed to Allison in July of 2021 on the Ocean City boardwalk, witnessed by Allison’s mom and her fiancé, Allison’s sister, and James’ parents.

They were married at Sacred Heart in Havertown, then celebrated with 100 guests at the High Point in Malvern.

Now the couple is looking for a Delaware County home to fill with dogs and babies.
