Villanova linebacker, Forrest Rhyne, has led all of college football in tackles. Now he’s hoping he will one of those chosen for the NFL draft, reports Rosemary Connor for NBC 10.

It’s the love of football and his family that motivates Rhyne to succeed at the game.

“It’s something I’ve been playing since I was 4 years old. Everything I do is because or for football. I’ve put so many long hours into it I’m willing to put even more. Whatever it takes I’m willing to do.”

He’s an All-American, the Defensive Player of the Year in his Conference, and a regional winner of the Maxwell Football Club award

Villanova head football coach Mark Ferrante says Rhyne has a work ethic you don’t see in many others.

There is another thing that motivates Rhyne to make the NFL, beyond his love of the game.

“My mom and their three brothers back at home I want to give them a better life if I can financially, in terms of maybe play in the NFL and playing out that long dream that I’ve always had,” Rhyne says.
