Delaware County car lovers won’t have to drive too far to catch two vintage auto museums, reports USA Today.

In a top 10 list of automotive attractions in the United States, USA Today put the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia at No. 6.

The museum’s focus is on “The Spirit of Competition,” and features a collection of more than 65 historically significant cars and has “one of the world’s greatest collections of racing sports cars,” according to its website.

The museum houses Ferraris and Bugattis, Corvettes and Fords.  The collection has grown over 50 years thanks to collector Frederick A. Simeone.

Another on the list of vintage auto museums takes Delaware County tourists in a different direction, toward Hershey.

The Antique Automobile Club of America Museum was 7th on the list. It is affiliated with the Smithsonian Institute.

It celebrates automobiles with vintage cars on display and interactive exhibits.

The museum covers cars, motorcycles and other vehicles from the 1890s to the 1980s.

It currently houses 150 vehicles, with 85 to 100 on display at any given time.
