Decade’s Best Test Scores in PA Came From 2 Delaware County School Districts
They may knock Delaware County’s accent, but it’s got some of the smartest public school district kids in the Commonwealth, according to a standardized test score analysis by the Pittsburgh Business Times.
The Philadelphia Business Journal cited a report in the Pittsburgh Times listing the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District as the decade’s highest-scoring school district in Pennsylvania.
The district shares territory with Chester and Delaware Counties.
Number two on the list was Radnor School District.
The report looked at 10 years of standardized test scores from 2010 to 2019 taken in grades 3-8 and again in high school.
Unionville-Chadds Ford landed first in the state in annual test score ranking over the decade. Radnor was second.
Wallingford-Swarthmore came in 12th, Rose Tree Media was 15th, Garnet Valley was 20th, Haverford squeaked in at 21st.
There are 493 districts included in the overall ranking.
Two other districts in Greater Philadelphia landed in the top 10 as well. Tredyffrin-Easttown came in at No. 6, and Lower Merion came in at No. 7.
