The School District With the Highest Home Values in the State Happens to be in Delaware County

Delaware County has the school districts with the highest and lowest median home value in Pennsylvania, writes Ethan Lott and Kennedy Rose for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Radnor Township School District ranked No. 1 in the state with a median home value of $651,600.

Radnor was also ranked among the top 10 school districts nationwide by Niche.

Chester-Upland School District had the lowest median home value at $77,900. It was the only local school district with a median home value less than $100,000, with a median household income totaling $32,092.

Four districts statewide had median home values topping $500,000, all in the Philadelphia Metro Area.

Here is a look at a statewide map of districts by median household income.

School districts ranked similarly for highest home value and median income.

Tredyffrin-Easttown School District had the highest median income ($133,983) and the fourth-highest home values ($569,100).

Lower Merion School District had the second-highest income ($128,410) and the third-highest home values ($578,600).

Radnor Township School District, which had the highest home values, came in at No. 8 for household income ($114,063).

The numbers are based on the findings of the Pittsburgh Business Times, which looked at the most recent U.S. Census school district data in Pennsylvania.
