Top of the Class: See Which 7 Delaware County School Districts Earned an A+

Seven out of 15 Delaware County school districts earned an A+ ranking from Niche.com, on its list of 2021 Best Schools in Pennsylvania, writes Max Bennett for patch.com.

One additional school district earned an A, three received Bs and one took a B-.

Earning an A+ were Radnor Township School District, Wallingford-Swarthmore School District, Garnet Valley School District, Unionville-Chadds Ford, Rose Tree Media School District, Springfield School District and the School District of Haverford Township.

Radnor also earned the No. 1 spot for all Pennsylvania school districts and 10th in the nation. However, it only received a B grade on diversity.

 

Marple Newtown School District recived an A, while Ridley, Interboro and Penn-Delco School Districts took home a B.  Upper Darby School District was graded a B-.

The online publication graded 11 criteria in each district: academics, diversity, teachers, college prep, clubs and activities, health and safety, administration, sports, food and resources and facilities.

It looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education, along with test scores, college data, and ratings from Niche users.
