There was good news all around in Delaware County as of April 28. The percentage of new COVID-19 cases dropped significantly in all Zip codes, write Sean Adams and Megan Lavey-Heaton for the Harrisburg Patriot-News.

With previous weeks reporting increases above 5%, the week of April 28 saw no increases higher than 2.78% in Zip code 19085 (Villanova). It had 10 new cases for a total of 370.

There was one 5% anomaly for Zip code 19017 (Chester Heights) which saw cases jump from zero to 1.

Many percentages were below 1%, with most averaging below 2%.

The five Zip codes showing the largest increase as of April 28 were:

• 19085 Villanova 2.78% 10 new cases 370 total.
• 19036 Glenolden 2.52% 29 new cases 1,180 total.
• 19013 Chester, Chester Township, Eddystone 2.42% 70 new cases 2,963 total.
• 19373 Thornton 2.41% 7 new cases 298 total.
• 19022 2.27% Crum Lynne, Chester Eddystone 7 new cases 316 total

The five Zip codes showing the lowest percentage increases were:

• 19032 Folcroft 0% 0 new cases 606 total.
• 19319 Cheyney 0% 0 new cases 22 total.
• 19070 Morton .35% 2 new cases 568 total.
• 19076 Prospect Park .45% 3 new cases 667 total.
• 19317 Chadds Ford .59% 3 new cases 512 total.

These latest numbers are compiled by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
