COVID Still Among Us as Delaware County Zip Code Data Shows Higher Case Percentages

Delaware Zip codes with the highest and lowest percentage increases in COVID-19

Percentage increases of COVID-19 cases were higher overall for the week prior to April 21 in Delaware County’s Zip codes. write Sean Adams and Megan Lavey-Heaton for the Harrisburg Patriot-News.

Four Zip codes had increases of 5% or more. 

The highest came from Zip code 19043 (Holmes) which reported a 6.14% increase, with 14 new cases for a total of 242.

The second highest was 19015 (Brookhaven and Chester) which had a 5.52% increase, with  62 new cases for a total of 1,186l

Third highest was  19023 (Collingdale and Darby Borough) which had a 5.07% increase, with 99 new cases for a total of 2,053.

Fourth highest was 19061 (Boothwyn, Marcus Hook, Trainer) which had a 5.03% increase, with 75 new cases for a total of 1,545.

The lowest increase in cases was reported in Zip code 19319 (Cheyney) which had no increases in cases. Total cases there are 22.

The second lowest was 19373 (Thornton) which had a 1.39% increase, with 4 new cases for a total of 291.

Third lowest was 19086 (Wallingford, Rose Valley) which had a 1.7% increase, with 14 new cases for a total of 837.

Fourth lowest was 19070 (Morton) which had a 1.98% increase, with 11 new cases for a total of 566.

These latest numbers are compiled by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
