Daily New COVID-19 Cases Up Above 100 Again for Thursday, May 13

There was one new COVID-19-related death from Upper Darby reported for Thursday, May 13, according to the Chester County Health Department.

The health department is reporting a total of 1,420 COVID-19-related deaths in Delaware County.

Of those, 834 were in long-term care facilities and personal care homes.

COVID-19 fatalities have been reported in 48 of the county’s 49 municipalities.

New cases

There were 165 new cases reported Thursday, May 13. Total cases are 47,903.

Prospect Park continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. Total cases are 732, affecting 11.27 percent of its 6,492 population.

Upper Darby has the most total cases, with 7,107 cases reported, or 8.56 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

Negative tests

The county has had 240,364 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 90.85percent recovery rate.
