One new COVID-19-related death from Yeadon Borough was reported for Monday, May 10, according to the Chester County Health Department.

The health department is reporting a total of 1,405 COVID-19-related deaths in Delaware County.

Of those, 831 were in long-term care facilities and personal care homes.

COVID-19 fatalities have been reported in 48 of the county’s 49 municipalities.

New cases

There were 162 new cases reported between Friday, May 7 and Monday, May 10.  Total cases are 47,547.

Prospect Park continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. Total cases are 740, affecting 11.39 percent of its 6,492 population.

Upper Darby has the most total cases, with 7,055 cases reported, or 8.50 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

Negative tests

The county has had 238,509  people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 89.11 percent recovery rate.

  • 10 to 19: 5,735 cases
  • 20 to 29: 7,959 cases
  • 30 to 39: 7021 cases
  • 40 to 49: 6.398 cases
  • 50 to 59: 7,183 cases
  • 60 to 69: 5,507 cases
  • 70 to 79: 2,730 cases
  • 80 and over: 2,641 cases

Pennsylvania data

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, May 10, there were 5,009 new cases of COVID-19 statewide between Friday, May 7 and Monday, May 10. Total cases now number 1,174,687.

The state is reporting 56 COVID-19 deaths between Friday and Monday. Total COVID-19 deaths are at 26,550.
