Delaware County COVID Cases Now Above 24,000, With 895 Deaths Reported

The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting 780 additional cases of COVID-19 in Delaware County between Friday, Dec. 11 and Sunday, Dec. 13.

 The Chester County Health Department reported 23,446 total positive cases for Delaware County on Friday, Dec. 11.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 24,126 total cases for Sunday, Dec. 13.

County and municipal statistics were unavailable for Sunday from the Chester County Health Department.

It reported on Friday that 895 county residents have died from complications related to COVID-19.

Of those 649 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, Sunday, Dec.13, that there were 21,768 new cases of COVID-19 across the state since statistics were last reported Friday, Dec. 11, bringing the statewide total to 491,802.

There were 330 additional COVID-19 deaths reported statewide Sunday, Dec. 13 since statistics were last reported Friday, Dec. 11, for
a total of 12,565.
