7 Delco School Districts Ranked Among Top Districts in Pennsylvania

Seven Delaware County School Districts have made the list of top 40 districts in Pennsylvania, according to Niche.com.

The districts were, in descending order of rank:

#2 Radnor School District. Overall rating, A+

  • Student-teacher ratio: 13 to 1
  • Math proficient: 80 percent
  • Reading proficient: 89 percent

#6 Wallingford-Swarthmore School District.  Overall rating, A+

  • Student-teacher ratio: 14 to 1
  • Math proficient: 69 percent
  • Reading proficient: 84 percent

#12 Garnet Valley School District. Overall rating, A+

  • Student-teacher ratio:13 to 1
  • Math proficient: 71 percent
  • Reading proficient: 87 percent

 #13 Rose Tree Media School District. Overall rating, A+

  • Student-teacher ratio:13 to 1
  • Math proficient: 66 percent
  • Reading proficient: 86 percent

#21 School District of Haverford Township. Overall rating, A+

  • Student-teacher ratio:15 to 1
  • Math proficient: 70 percent
  • Reading proficient: 88 percent

 #34  Springfield School District. Overall rating, A+

  • Student-teacher ratio:16 to 1
  • Math proficient: 66 percent
  • Reading proficient: 82 percent

#40 Marple Newtown School District. Overall rating, A

  • Student-teacher ratio:12 to 1
  • Math proficient: 61 percent
  • Reading proficient: 80 percent
