Which Delco School Districts Made Top 100?

Seven Delaware County school districts made the Pittsburgh Business Times’ 2019 Honor Roll of top 100 public school districts in Pennsylvania, writes Ethan Lott for the Pittsburgh Business Times.

The rankings are based on three years of standardized test scores.

Marple Newtown School District came in 71st, rising three positions from 2018, when it placed 74th.  It placed 61st in 2017.

Springfield School District rose in rank, from 49th in 2018 to 34th this year and has continued to improve. The district ranked 50th in 2017.

Garnet Valley School District placed 27th. It dropped two spots from its 2018 rank of 25 but is improved over its 2017 ranking of 28.

Rose Tree Media School District ranked 23rd. It held the 20th slot in 2018 and the 17th spot in 2017.

Haverford Township School District did slightly better against Rose Tree Media, ranking 22nd. It placed 17th in 2018, and 19th in 2017.

Wallingford Swarthmore School District stayed in the top 20, earning a 14th position, a 13th position in 2018 and a 9th position in 2017.

Radnor School District held on to the No. 2  lead position this year, a ranking unchanged in 2018 and 2017.
