New COVID-19 Cases Per Day Staying Above 100 Mark in Delaware County

Delaware County continues to trend above 100 new COVID-19 cases per day as of Saturday, Oct. 24.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported a total of 13,090 cases for Delaware County on Saturday, Oct. 24, 114 above the 12,976 cases reported by the Chester County Health Department on Friday, Oct. 23.

No statistics were available for Sunday.

The Chester County Health Department reported 808 COVID-19 related deaths for Delaware County as of Friday, Oct. 23.

Of those, 619 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

A breakdown of statistics by municipality was unavailable over the weekend.

Statewide, there were 3,709 new positive cases of COVID-19 as of Saturday.  Pennsylvania is now listing a total of 194,288 cases.

There were 42 new deaths reported statewide as of Saturday, with total deaths listed at 8,666 according to the  Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Statewide, 2,229,977 people have tested negative for the virus.
