11 New COVID-19 Cases in Delaware County Reported Over the Weekend

No new COVID-19-related death were reported Monday, June 28 since statistics were last reported Friday, June 25, according to the Chester County Health Department.

The health department is reporting a total of 1,459 COVID-19-related deaths in Delaware County.

Of total fatalities, 838 were in long-term care facilities and personal care homes.

COVID-19 fatalities have been reported in 48 of the county’s 49 municipalities.

Eleven new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported for Monday, June 28 since cases were last reported Friday, June 28 in Delaware County. 49,873

Total cases for June 28 is.49,873.

Prospect Park continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. Total cases are 754, affecting 11.61 percent of its 6,492 population.

Upper Darby has the most total cases, with 7,515 cases reported, or 9.06 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

The county has had 256,315 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 96.6 percent recovery rate.
