Italian Soul Food Restaurant to Open in Wayne, White Dog Cafe Coming to Glen Mills
Two new restaurants are coming to Glen Mills and Wayne.
The owner, Fearless Restaurants, remains optimistic that people will return to restaurants, despite the damage wreaked by the coronavirus, writes Kennedy Rose for Philadelphia Business Journal.
Fearless will open Rosalie, an “Italian soul food” restaurant that is “rustic, approachable and comfortable” at the Wayne Hotel Aug. 26.
It will have 40 outdoor seats, run by Chef Merick Devine, formerly chef de cuisine at Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder, Colorado.
The White Dog Cafe in Glen Mills, at The Shoppes at Brinton Lake, will open Sept. 7 with 104 outdoor seats and 160 seats inside.
.Michael Selser, former executive chef at White Dog Cafe Haverford will run the kitchen.
Fearless is the parent company of Moshul and the White Dog Café.
Revenue dropped 50 to 70 percent at Fearless’ seven other restaurants from COVID-19.
“In the short term, it’s definitely concerning,” Grims said. “I think that if we weren’t bullish about our brand and our location and our business, I think it’s severe enough that you question whether or not you want to go on.”
