The soon-to-open White Dog Café in Glen Mills is offering a unique art opportunity to dog owners—a chance for a portrait of their favorite canine to adorn the walls of the new restaurant, reports Fox29 News.

White Dog Cafes, located now in Haverford, Wayne and University City, feature a dog-themed décor, including paintings of dogs on the walls painted by artist Jay McClellan. He is offering 38 custom paintings for the new cafe.

To help launch the opening of the Glen Mills café in early 2020, dog owners are invited to have a painting commissioned featuring their pet by visiting the White Dog Café website here.

“By purchasing one of these paintings on whitedog.com/shop, you are able to have your dog in one of our restaurants,” said Sydney Grims, director of innovation at Fearless Restaurants.

Half of the proceeds will go to the Brandywine Valley SPCA and Alpha Bravo Canine, which provides free service dogs to former military members with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Purchasers  will receive the original drawing of the painting. A small brass plate bearing the dog’s name and hometown will also hang on the wall beside each commissioned work.
