Only 11 new cases of COVID-19 were reported for Delaware County on Monday, June 8, continuing a trend of lower cases being reported. The new cases bring the total number to 6,754.
There were no new deaths reported, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

The county now has 57.3 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 over 14 days per 100,000 people. The target case number is 50 as part of the criteria to move to a green phase of reopening.

Upper Darby continues to have the most cases, at 1,061, affecting 1.28 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

The county has had 25,114people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting a 72 percent recovery rate.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of midnight, June 7, that there are 351 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 75,943.
There are 5,953 total deaths attributed to COVID-19, an increase of 10 new deaths.
