The Lionville Fire Company has received a grant in the amount of $32,354.97 from Energy Transfer, through its First Responder Fund, that has funded the purchase of various emergency response equipment.

“We’re thrilled to accept this grant, which has already helped us better outfit our men and women with new sets of turnout gear, in addition to several gas leak detectors,” said Lionville Fire Company Captain Michael Lam. “We appreciate the continued support from Energy Transfer, as they help us keep our communities safe when responding to fires and other emergencies.”

The Energy Transfer First Responder Fund provides grants on a biannual basis to help further the primary mission of first-responder organizations, including local fire departments; emergency medical services; county emergency management agencies; county, regional, and local police departments; and other eligible agencies.

Grants are determined based on a competitive application and review process, and written applications are accepted on a rolling basis for the following cycle.

“We continue to prioritize the safety and livelihood of the communities in which we live and operate, who depend upon our first responders every day,” said Robin Tilley, Senior Specialist of Public Affairs at Energy Transfer. “Awarding this well-deserved grant to the Lionville Fire Company is just one way we are honored to work alongside our first responders to protect our neighbors, in addition to trainings and public outreach efforts.”

Energy Transfer is one of the largest and most diversified energy logistics companies in the country, with approximately 3,000 miles of pipeline infrastructure and gathering systems located in Pennsylvania.
