Find out how you can ensure a fair and accurate 2020 Census at a free learning event Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Fellowship Hall, 350 W. State Street in Media.

The Foundation for Delaware County and The Nelson Foundation for non-profits is sponsoring the session, led by Jo Lin, Coalition Manager of Keystone Counts at PA Voice.

The event is open to any interested nonprofit professional.

The U.S. Constitution requires a Census every 10 years. Census data determines how federal dollars are allocated to states and municipalities.

Lin will present an update on activities currently being undertaken to make sure the census is fair and accurate, and she will talk about the role you can play in historically under-counted communities.

The session runs 3 to-5 p.m.  The entrance to the venue is on the side of the building located on Lemon Street. Fellowship Hall is within walking distance of SEPTA’s Media train station, and less than one block from the Orange Street stop on SEPTA’s 101 trolley line.

There is metered street parking and a parking lot across the street from Hill’s Seafood on Baltimore Pike and Lemon Street.
