New COVID-19 Cases in Delaware County Continue to Trend High, With 136 Cases Reported for a total of 13,888

Delaware County is seeing no relief from the high number of new COVID-19 cases being reported.

On Friday, the Chester County Health Department reported 133 new cases. On Saturday, Oct. 31, the Pennsylvania Department of Health was reporting 13,888 total cases in Delaware County, an increase of 136 cases.

No statistics were available for Sunday, Nov. 1.

The Chester County Health Department reported 814 COVID-19 related deaths for Delaware County as of Friday, Oct. 30.

Of those, 619 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

A breakdown of statistics by municipality was unavailable over the weekend.

Statewide, there were 4,419 new positive cases of COVID-19 as of noon, Nov. 1.  Pennsylvania is now listing a total of 209,936 cases.

There were 33 new deaths reported statewide as of noon, Nov. 1, with total deaths listed at 8,817, according to the  Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Statewide, 2,327,810 people have tested negative for the virus.
