Milan Harris, who attended Upper Darby High School and Delaware County Community College, now runs Milano Di Rouge, a fashion brand worn by Philadelphia trendsetters and celebrities, including Meek Mill and Lil’ Kim, writes Elizabeth Wellington for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Harris designs clothes that are athletic but sexy, with her name in capital letters.

Her rise came in large part thanks to her “Safe Sex Saves Lives” logo that is prominently featured on her collection’s bodysuits, leggings, t-shirts, and sweatshirts.

“My brand is bigger than the clothes,” said Harris. “I really just want to reach people, inspire them. I want them to dream and think bigger than what is on the surface.”

Harris, who began her career as a blogger, recently celebrated five years of her brand and her 29th birthday with a sold-out fashion show at Liberty Place. During the event, Harris debuted her 43-piece spring collection.
