Farmers Markets to Beer Gardens, It’s a Delco Food Paradise

Variety is king when it comes to the summer food choices in Delaware County, writes Cara Corridoni for County Lines Magazine.

Media Borough alone has enough unique restaurant offerings to cover most tastes and cravings, from Ariano Italian Restaurant to Tom’s Dim Sum and many others in between. 

Saturday mornings at the Swarthmore Farmers Market has produce, artisan baked goods, local crafts and musical performances.

‘ Booth’s Corner in Garnet Valley is legendary for sharing farm-fresh vegetables with just about everything else under one roof.

Tinicum Township has a family-friendly farmers market Wednesday evenings

For pick your own, there’s always Linvilla Orchards in Media, or a less crowded Indian Orchards.

You’ll find comfort food at Delco Steaks in Broomall, Ridley and Brookhaven, Pica’s pizza in Upper Darby, Nifty Fifty’s in Ridley and Newtown Square and The Hot Dog Stand in Milmont Park.

Wind down your summer day at the Beer Garden, or Pinocchio’s Beer Garden with 25 rotating drafts, both in Media, or head over to 2SP brewery in Aston where you can try the Delco lager.
