Four Delaware County ZIP Codes saw homes selling in 55 days or less during the second quarter in the Greater Philadelphia Area, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The Business Journal conducted a second-quarter analysis of the country’s hottest housing markets by ZIP Code, based on quarterly listing and sales data from Intercontinental Exchange.
The second quarter covers April 1 through June 30.
Swarthmore’s ZIP Code 19081 saw average homes selling in 52 days, with an average sales price of $664,219.
Prospect Park’s ZIP Code 19076 also saw average homes selling in 52 days, with its average sales price of $306,100.
Springfield’s ZIP Code 19064 had homes selling in 54 days, with an average sales price of $511,739.
Havertown’s ZIP Code 19083 saw average homes selling in 55 days, with an average sales price of $544,828.
The region’s hottest housing market was in Levittown, averaging 50 to 52 days from list to close, with homes there selling faster than anywhere else in Greater Philadelphia.
Home sales were slower in higher-priced areas of Bucks County. In New Hope , the average home stayed on the market for 94 days from list to close in the second quarter.
