Winery in Glen Mills Expands into Center City

By

The Inn at Grace Winery is now open for business at The Shops at Liberty Place in Center City.

Almost a decade after opening in Glen Mills, the Inn at Grace Winery is expanding into Center City with a tasting room and retail store, writes Kenneth Hilario for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The company, which has seven acres dedicated to growing grapes, is a combination of Grace Winery and Sweetwater Farm Bed & Breakfast. Until now, its products were only available at its Glen Mills tasting room and several local restaurants. However, its products will soon be available at The Shops at Liberty Place.

The winery’s first satellite outpost in Center City will offer tastings by the glass and bottle sales at a 2,588-square-foot location. Close to 20,000 people walk through The Shops at Liberty Place on a typical weekday, giving the winery the kind of exposure it can’t get in Glen Mills.

“We’ve always wanted to grow our business to Philadelphia and expand our reach,” said general manager Elizabeth Megill. “We’ll be open for the holiday season, and it’s going to be the platform for introducing ourselves to everything the city has to offer.”
