Kobe Bryant
Kobe Bryant (1978–2020), a Lower Merion High School graduate, grew up in Lower Merion before becoming an NBA legend.
A five-time champion with the Los Angeles Lakers, he was known for his “Mamba Mentality,” an 81-point game, and 18 All-Star selections.
His impact extended beyond basketball as a storyteller and philanthropist.
He tragically died in a helicopter crash in 2020, along with his daughter Gianna and seven others.
RIP Kobe. You’ll be forever missed.
