If you’ve spent any time in Eagleview Town Center on a warm Friday evening, you’ve probably walked up the wide staircase past Brickside Grille and thought about stopping in.
Owned by Andrew Weintraub, Brickside Grille has been one of Eagleview’s anchor restaurants for over 20 years.
Located at 540 Wellington Square in Exton’s walkable town center, it draws a crowd that returns not out of routine, but because the experience keeps it coming.
It recently underwent some major upgrades in the form of new decor, a paint job, and uniforms for staff.
Additionally, Brickside had a sister restaurant in the form of The Drafting Room on Pottstown Pike, which has since closed.
An Oceanic Menu
The restaurant offers a creative American menu built around seafood and steak, a lively bar, a patio perfect for summer nights, and service that regulars chat about.
Eagleview Town Center is already one of the more pleasant places in Chester County to spend an evening, and Brickside is part of that.
Online reviewer Ennis Sigler wrote, “Outdoor seating has great views and sounds of adjacent park. You can people watch all day.” On nights when Eagleview is hosting live music or community events, the patio becomes more of a front-row seat to everything happening outside.
Reviewer Liz H captured it as: “Live music was very good and made the atmosphere enjoyable.” Fun, relaxed, and great for conversation in one of the inside booths is how diners describe it.

The atmosphere can only carry a restaurant so far, and the menu must hold up, so the seafood at Brickside aims to do that.
The raw bar and the kitchen’s way with shellfish have become the restaurant’s calling card. Reviewers come back consistently for the crab cakes, oysters, mussels, clams, crab-stuffed shrimp, and lobster bisque.
These dishes are the reason people make reservations.
Jeffrey Engebretson wrote, “The food was amazing. Many flavors that were to die for. Crab cakes were top notch.”
Barb Hauck-Mah praised the simplicity and quality of her crab cake sandwich, noting it was “all fresh grilled crabmeat (no filler) and very tasty.”
Even reviewers with broader criticisms made exceptions for the seafood.
Writer Mr. Dre, who had mixed feelings about several appetizers, called the lobster bisque “excellent” and described the crab cakes as “phenomenal” from prior visits.
Beyond The Sea: Prime Rib and Buffet
Seafood may be the headliner, but it’s not the whole show as the slow roasted prime rib is available daily, and the lobster rolls, famous enough that the restaurant leads with them in its own description.
These give the menu a coastal confidence even though it’s a bit far from the shore.
Whether you’re a committed seafood eater or someone who wants a juicy steak, there’s a reason to head to Brickside.
The brunch buffet, offered every Sunday from 10 AM to 1:30 PM, draws people that plan their schedule around it.
Reviewers mention Mother’s Day brunches, birthday celebrations, baby showers, and small reception dinners held in the restaurant’s event room.
Kathryn Hess wrote, “We came here to celebrate my parents’ birthdays for Sunday brunch! The food was delicious!”
Elaina Stewart, who hosted a baby shower at Brickside, called it “beautiful and a perfect size.”
Service rounds out the experience and several reviewers named individual staff members, which is the signal that the front-of-house is memorable. Nicole Hanson wrote, “Michael was an absolute amazing server! Mussels were really great and the warm bread was delicious!”
One person this editor misses in particular is beloved former manager Melanie Toth, a longstanding pillar of the restaurant’s foundation who passed away in 2025.
And The Critics Say
However, Brickside is not without some rough edges.
Drinks draw a price complaint or two. Crowd management on busy brunch days and packed patio nights can leave something to be desired.
Some diners find the menu inconsistent from visit to visit. Someone mentioned that they wished brunch guests had the option of ordering off the regular menu instead of committing to the buffet.
They are all fair criticisms, but for a restaurant built in one of Chester County’s most active town centers, Brickside has found a reasonable place to land.
Brickside Grille is open at 540 Wellington Square in Eagleview Town Center Monday through Saturday 11 AM to 9PM and Sunday 10 AM to 9PM.
