Brothers with Springfield Roots Behind America250PADelco Shirts

Phillygoat, an apparel company founded by three brothers raised in Springfield, has collaborated with America250PADelco for their merch.

Three Springfield-raised brothers, Ryan, Pat, and Brett Cassidy, launched an apparel brand honoring their Delco roots, creatively named Phillygoat, writes Kathleen E. Carey for the Daily Times

A few years ago, as the Phillies played the Mets in London, one fan was photographed wearing one of their shirts with the phrase “The British Blew a Thirteen Colony Lead” on the front. It wasn’t long before sales exploded.

“It’s been one of our top sellers,” Ryan Cassidy, who now lives in Boston, said.

Along with selling their merch on their own website, the trio has also partnered with America250PADelco ahead of the country’s semiquincentennial. A portion of the sales from the Thirteen Colony shirt and their DELCO 250 Flag tee will be going back to the nonprofit to support their mission.

America250PADelco is also looking for other local vendors to highlight with goods made in America to feature special Delco 250 merchandise.

“It means so much,” Cassidy said about the partnership. “This is like part of what a huge reason why we started this brand so we could celebrate our roots.”

Phillygoat isn’t new to helping out nonprofits.

They currently have a portion of their proceeds also directed to the Battle Brothers Foundation and the Darren Daulton Foundation. They also previously donated $2,000 to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
