Phillygoat 'Believe' T-shirts, created in Delaware County, caught the attention of the Philadelphia Phillies.

Ryan Cassidy hoped his Delaware County company’s ‘Believe’ T-shirts would give the Phillies the magic they needed to get to the World Series, but in the end, it just wasn’t enough.

Cassidy is behind Phillygoat, a Delaware County apparel company hyper-focused on the City of Brotherly Love, writes Nikki Dementri for CBS News Philadelphia.

He created a T-shirt last August with Ted Lasso’s famous “Believe” sign, Phillies style, then snuck some T-shirts into the Phillies clubhouse.

“My mom sweet-talked the guy down at the loading dock to the clubhouse. He said he’d get it into the locker room for us, and we said, ‘OK, let’s see what happens.'”

The next day, several players were wearing the design.

Phillies legend Jimmy Rollins even gave a shoutout to Phillygoat and the “Believe” T-shirt ahead of Monday’s Game 6.

This week, the orders really started pouring in,

Red October has been really special,” Cassidy said. “We’ve pretty much equaled our entire sales for the year just in this month alone.”

Cassidy and his family have a personal connection to the Phillies.

His grandfather was the Director of Stadium Operations at the Vet – and his parents both met while working there in the ’70s.
