Paris Baguette is opening its 300th North American café in the coming months at Philadelphia International Airport, writes Emma Dooling and Lara Schwartz for Philadelphia Business Journal.
The chain will open in Terminal C at the airport in the second quarter of this year.
It currently has 10 locations in Greater Philadelphia. There are 18 more cafes planned for the region, including Radnor.
The PHL cafe will be Paris Baguette’s first airport location.
Paris Baguette serves coffee, tea, cakes, pastries, breads, sandwiches, and salads.
Long-term expansion for the company hopes to bring 1,000 cafes to North America by 2030, according to Chief Development Officer Nick Scaccio.
Founded in 1988, Paris Baguette is owned by South Korean food and beverage conglomerate SPC Group.
PHL has been bringing new food and beverage options to its terminals, with a focus on adding local brands through its “Founded in Philly” initiative.
The brands include Insomnia Cookies and PrimoHoagies, which debuted in the airport’s Terminal A-East in February.
Penn’s Landing Market, a new retail concept, debuted in early April. It is located in the B/C connector and offers travel essentials, sweet treats, and Philly merchandise from local artists and creators.
