Nudy’s Cafe Opening 15th Location in Glen Mills as Chain Expands

Nudy's Cafe opens this week in Glen Mills.

Nudy’s Cafe, operating as a breakfast and lunch venue for 46 years, is opening its 15th location in Glen Mills, writes Emma Dooling for Philadelphia Business Journal.

The new restaurant at 31 W. Baltimore Pike is part of an ongoing expansion campaign.,

Owner Ray Nudy hopes to open the new restaurant as early as this week.

The Glen Mills restaurant will seat about 70 people in its 2,700-square-foot indoor space, Another 30 to 40 seats will be available in the warmer months on an outdoor patio.

It’s taking over a standalone building that was previously a Bryn Mawr Trust bank branch that closed after WSFS acquired Bryn Mawr Trust in 2022.

Nudy’s opened its first café in Devon in 1979. It tends to pick former bank branches as new locations because the standalone buildings are usually located at major intersections and have available parking.

The new location is close to two other Nudy’s Cafes in Havertown and Chadds Ford, so the restaurant is familiar to locals.

“We get a nice start with business that way,” Nudy said.

The café chain has 14 other locations in Delaware, Chester, and Montgomery Counties.
