The Philadelphia region’s restaurant boom that saw a busy 2024 continues into the new year, with dozens of restaurant openings slated for 2025, including some Delaware County restaurants, writes Emma Dooling for Philadelphia Business Journal.
Up to 50 new restaurants and bars, from small cocktail and wine bars to a 300-seat restaurant to a 10,000-square-foot brewery, are expected to open.
Four of those 50 will open in Delaware County, with another franchise favorite opening at the Philadelphia International Airport.
South Philadelphia-born Federal Donuts and Chicken is expanding into Philadelphia International Airport in the spring of 2025, with a stand in the connector between Terminals B and C.
Delaware County restaurants include Triple Crown Restaurant in The Radnor Hotel, opening this spring. Owner Fearless Restaurants is also working on a second location of its Italian-American eatery Testa Rossa in Wayne this summer.
Win Hospitality, the owner of restaurants like Azie and Mikado Thai Pepper, will debut a new fast-casual sushi concept Mama-San in Radnor this year.
DJB Hospitality’s Napa Kitchen and Wine is opening its first franchise location of the concept in Newtown Square during the first quarter.
