Sisters Jael and Calah Ingram of Norwood shared some time in the national spotlight recently when they appeared on NBC’s “Today” show Jan. 21 as part of The Legends House dance ensemble.
Their national television debut came after performing this past summer at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Daily Times.
The Legends House dance company is a nationally-recognized youth ensemble directed and founded by Shayna Yvonne Rudd.
It has rigorous training and offers performance opportunities for young performers.
Jael is a senior honors student at Interboro High School and the founder of her school’s dance team. They perform at homecoming and school athletic events.
She has earned academic and dance scholarships to Coppin State University and Hofstra University.
Calah is an eighth-grade honors student at Norwood Elementary School. She has years of dedicated dance training, building a foundation as a young performer.
“We are incredibly proud of Jael and Calah,” said their mother, real estate broker Keira Ingram. “Their journey reflects years of discipline, early mornings, late nights, and a deep love for the arts. We’re grateful for the mentors, educators, and community members who have supported them along the way.”
