The Eberz sisters helped Archbishop Carroll win the Catholic League championship in basketball, with Alexis, Kayla, and Kelsey scoring 29 of Carroll’s 42 points.
Archbishop Carroll beat out Cardinal O’Hara 42-33 at the Catholic League Championship at the Palestra Sunday afternoon, writes Owen Hewitt for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Alexis Eberz, a senior guard who will play at Villanova next season, dribbled out the final seconds of the game. The team, which included her younger twin sisters, Kayla and Kelsey, then celebrated Carroll’s first league championship title since 2019, as well as an undefeated season.
“We had a target on our back, especially being undefeated this year,” Alexis Eberz said. “So, going out, playing our game that we played all year round, it’s amazing.”
This is the first time the three sisters have been in a game together since Kelsey suffered a knee injury in December 2024.
Kayla, a sophomore guard, scored 22 points. Alexis, the Catholic League’s MVP this season, added five, and Kelsey, also a guard, added two.
All five of Carroll’s starters scored, including nine points from Abbie McFillin, a junior guard.
Carroll moves on to the PIAA Class 6A state tournament, beginning March 6.
