Full-Time Maintenance Mechanic

Dunwoody Village has a career opportunity available as a Full-Time Maintenance Mechanic.  

A successful candidate will have 2 years of general maintenance experience and enjoy working in an environment where providing quality care and service to older adults is paramount. Qualified candidates must have a valid PA driver’s license. 

The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM-4 PM but a successful candidate must be willing to work on-call during inclement weather to assist with snow/ice removal or for emergency situations.

Central Supply Manager

Dunwoody Village s seeking a Central Supply Manager. Candidates must have extensive experience managing the central supply operations within a nursing community. This role oversees the procurement, storage, distribution and organization of all supplied and equipment within the nursing department. This role is also essential in ensuring that our staff have what they need to serve our residents in a compassionate way and provide high quality customer service.

How you will make an impact

  • Oversee the inventory control operation to ensure that all supplies are stocked and onsite for use by Dunwoody Village staff and residents. This includes inventory of items to ensure ordering is correct and accurate based on needs.
  • Ordering supplies from approved vendors and monitor/manage costs of new equipment or repairs.
  • Supervision of the Central Supply Clerk to ensure that all items being distributed are recorded in the Orbitz system to be billed to residents or departmental budgets at the end of each month.
  • Foster a culture of excellence by demonstrating technical and management proficiency, initiative, and leadership aligned with the mission, vision, and values of Dunwoody Village.

What you will need

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a Central Supply operation within a CCRC or similar organization.
  • Experience with charge capture (such as the Orbitz system) to ensure all supplies are charged to residents appropriately.
  • Strong organizational skills, proficiency in inventory management systems, and knowledge of medical terminology and equipment.

Personal Care Administrator

Dunwoody Village is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to fill a Personal Care Administrator (PCHA) position.

This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the personal care and memory support neighborhoods in the Dunwoody Village Care Center.

The Personal Care Administrator (PCHA) is responsible for the daily operations and care provided to the personal care and memory support residents through directing and evaluating unit activities to ensure safe and effective practices.

The PCHA ensures compliance with all regulations and develops, revises, and implements policies and procedures for personal care services and activities.

The PCA acts as a problem-solver and liaison between residents, designated person(s), and staff members. The PCHA coordinates support plan meetings and manages the admission process. 

A successful incumbent will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • · Current credentials as a Pennsylvania Personal Care Home Administrator.
  • · At least 2+ years’ experience in a long-term care setting.
  • · High degree of resident assessment and management skills; exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • · Demonstrated experience with Point Click Care (PCC) or similar medical records system.
  • · The intrinsic ability to successfully lead and motivate a team of healthcare professionals.
  • · Keen sense of detail and desire to be “survey ready” at all times.

A successful candidate must have experience with age-specific competencies of the geriatric population in a long-term care setting.

This person should also have strong computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office programs. The ability to positively communicate with people of diverse backgrounds and education levels is paramount.
