These 4 Delaware County Spots Can Cure Your Milkshake Cravings

Enjoy a milkshake at one of these four Delaware County locations.

There are four locations in Delaware County that have your perfect milkshake, whether you’re a traditionalist or someone with a taste for adventure, writes Allie Forge for PhillyBite Magazine.

1. Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in Broomall is known for its creamy frozen custard but has become a popular milkshake destination, with its vanilla milkshake earning rave reviews from kids and adults as possibly “the best milkshake EVER!”

2. Dairy Cottage in Springfield is a Delaware County institution that has been around since 1917, established as Duncan’s Dairies, where it once supplied Springfield and the surrounding area with milk and other dairy products.

It uses premium ice cream for its milkshakes, offered in a variety of classic and seasonal flavors, from traditional chocolate to black raspberry.

3. Nifty Fifty’s in Folsom is a retro-themed diner with thick, creamy milkshakes in a variety of classic flavors. Its menu breaks down its milkshake offerings from most popular to Blue Ribbon to  Exotic. Fair warning. These can get messy due to their generous size.

4. CJ’S WATERICE AND ICE CREAM in Collingdale is mainly known for water ice, but it also serves up milkshakes made with soft-serve ice cream in a variety of classic flavors.
