ChesPenn Health Services continues to lead by example in supporting the health and well-being of their communities. In a recent initiative, ChesPenn donated laptops to community programs serving youth and parents to help bridge the digital divide and expand access to education, training, and career opportunities.

By ensuring that families and young adults have the tools they need to connect, learn, and grow, ChesPenn reaffirms its belief that health extends beyond the clinic walls. Access to technology helps strengthen families, supports lifelong learning, and opens doors for future success, key elements in building a thriving community.

Through this effort, ChesPenn partnered with the Making a Change Group (MACG), an organization known for helping youth and families grow through mentorship, skill-building, and community engagement. The laptops will benefit participants in Connected Families, a program that helps parents and caregivers achieve financial stability, improve family communication, and prepare for career advancement, as well as Team MAC and GVINE, which focus on youth development and violence prevention.

This collaboration reflects ChesPenn’s ongoing commitment to caring for the whole person, supporting not just medical needs, but also personal growth, education, and access to opportunity.

Excellence in Care: AHA Gold Plus Recognition

ChesPenn’s dedication to outstanding patient care has also earned national recognition. The Center for Family Health at Upper Darby has been awarded Gold Plus Recognition by the American Heart Association (AHA) for achieving a Hypertension Control Rate above 70 percent (<140/90) for 2024.

This award honors ChesPenn’s success in helping patients manage their blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. By emphasizing prevention, education, and consistent follow-up care, ChesPenn’s providers and care teams have improved long-term outcomes for patients and their families.

Building Stronger Communities

From advancing quality care to empowering families through technology, ChesPenn Health Services remains deeply rooted in its mission to strengthen communities.
