Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant Abruptly Closes All Locations

Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant has announced it is closing all of its locations, effective immediately, just weeks after closing three locations in the region.

Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant has announced the closure of all its locations in the United States, including a popular location in Media Borough, writes Tom Dougherty for CBS News Philadelphia.

The news comes just weeks after the closure of three other locations in the Philadelphia region, including one in Chestnut Hill and its flagship brewery in Newark, Delaware.

“It has been our pleasure to serve you, and we are deeply grateful for your support, friendship, and loyalty over the years,” Iron Hill wrote in a social media post announcing today’s news. “We sincerely hope to return in the future, and when we do, we promise to welcome you with open arms.”

There is currently a sign hanging on the door of Iron Hill’s Center City location that confirms its closure, along with its 15 others.

An employee of the Iron Hill location in Center City told The Philadelphia Inquirer that all workers had received a message from management that announced its abrupt and immediate closure.

“Due to ongoing financial challenges, the company has made the difficult decision to file for bankruptcy, and, regrettably, will be permanently closing its door,” the note read.

Since opening its flagship store in 1996, the company had opened locations across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, South Carolina, and Georgia.
