Two Restaurants, Turning Point and Jersey Mike’s, Opening at Drexeline

A brunch/breakfast/lunch restaurant and a sandwich shop are opening at Drexeline Town Center.

Two new Drexeline restaurants are coming to the Drexel Hill town center on State Road, writes Emma Dooling for Philadelphia Business Journal.

Turning Point, an East Coast brunch chain, and Jersey Mike’s Subs, a sandwich chain, have both signed leases at the shopping center. They will be located in spaces next to the ShopRite supermarket.

Turning Point is expected to open in the fall. It will seat 106 people and will include an outdoor patio.

The restaurant serves breakfast, brunch and lunch foods.

Jersey Mike’s Subs plans to open over the summer.

Turning Point and Jersey Mike’s will provide needed food and beverage for workers, visitors and residents, said MCB Real Estate Principal Drew Gorman in a statement.

“The availability of nearby restaurants is among the top priorities of companies searching for commercial office space,” Gorman said.

Three other retail spaces at the center are still open.

MCB bought the former Drexeline Shopping Center for $30 million in 2016.

The developer has converted the dated shopping center into a $100 million, 18-acre mixed-use modern development.

That includes a new 60,000 square-foot office building for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia that is nearly complete, according to MCB Real Estate,
